The requirement was to build a Gmail-native extension that unifies communication and productivity into one place. Beyond handling emails, the client needed a solution that could automatically group communications by client, integrate SMS and calling with recording and transcription, sync Google Drive files, manage notes and calendars, and support flexible subscription models. The client also wanted to make it cheap and convenient for enterprise users and enable data sharing among enterprise users. The client also wanted mobile app support for continuity across devices, and an AI assistant to provide contextual drafting, Q&A, and intelligent reply generation.
